Each used grass patch can be composted or disposed of in green bins, reducing its environmental impact—a priority for us. If you live in an apartment and don’t have a green bin, contact your local council to request one, as most areas now offer this service (and it’s typically included in your rates).
If green bin or composting options aren’t available, you can place the old patch in the compostable bag it came in and dispose of it in a regular bin. This will still allow it to decompose in the landfill.
Our grass is freshly harvested every Monday and delivered by Tuesday. Orders placed by end of day Thursday will be delivered the next Monday or Tuesday. Please note that public holidays may cause delays.
As our product is perishable, we use an ‘Authority To Leave’ for delivery. Make sure to include any special delivery instructions in the notes section when placing your order. Please be aware that Real Grass is not responsible for stolen or missing items. We will leave the package in the most discreet location possible if no one is home. You will receive an email notification once your delivery is made; if you don’t see it, please check your junk mail folder.
Note: We deliver free within the Perth Metro area and surrounding suburbs. Some other suburbs may qualify for delivery with a fee. Shipping is calculated at checkout. We do not offer shipping to interstate or international locations.
Real Grass provides a partial refund for dog toilet unit purchases if you change your mind within 48 hours of the purchase date. Please note, a fee of $39.95 will be deducted to cover the cost of the grass patch, as it is perishable.
Returns are not accepted for dog toilet units once they have been delivered and assembled with soil and grass, as they are no longer considered “brand new.”
If you encounter any issues with the toilet unit, please contact us at admin@realgrass-toilet.com to discuss a replacement.
Please be aware that we cannot offer refunds for grass patches alone due to their perishable nature.
Grass patches can remain green for up to 3-4 weeks with light watering and some sun exposure. However, areas that are frequently used may die off sooner due to the effects of urine. For most dogs and minimal maintenance, we recommend subscribing to a new patch every two or 3 weeks.
Toilet Training and Subscription Recommendations:
- Standard Freshness: For optimal freshness, replace the grass patch every two weeks, or if your toilet is inside.
- Multiple Dogs: For households with two or three dogs, opt for a subscription that includes a new patch every two weeks.
- Less frequent use: If your dog primarily uses walks for toileting, a subscription for new patches every three or four weeks should suffice.
- Frequent Urinators: If your dog urinates frequently, consider replacing the patch a week earlier than scheduled.
- Summer Considerations: During hotter months, it may be necessary to replace the patch a week earlier to maintain freshness.
